What is a Federal Health Insurance Marketplace Navigator?  Navigators are trained and certified to provide information on health insurance options available through the Federal Health Insurance Marketplaces. Our Navigators are not insurance agents and do not represent any insurance companies. Navigators help consumers, small businesses and their employees explore options and sign up for an insurance plan that meets their needs and budget by assisting them with eligibility and enrollment forms. Their services are free to consumers.

Why would I need a Federal Health Insurance Marketplace Navigator to help me sign up for health insurance? Navigators can help walk you through the steps of filling out the necessary forms, clarify confusing terms and compare various insurance plans. Navigators have no special agenda. They are trained to be bias free. Language translation and hearing impaired services can also be made available to you through the help of a Navigator.

What types of documents do I need when applying for tax credits to pay for my health insurance?
*Social Security Numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants)
*Employer and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage (for example, from pay stubs or W-2 forms—Wage and Tax Statements
*A completed Employer Coverage tool for every job-based plan you or someone in your household is eligible for. (You’ll need this form even for coverage you’re eligible for but don’t enroll in.)
