
The Health Planning Council of Southwest Florida and the other 10 health councils around the state have developed County Profiles for each county in their district. The profiles are a snapshot of the health status and related indicators for public officials and community partners.
The following for the county, district and Florida is included:
- Demographic data by age, race, ethnicity and gender
- Socioeconomic date including income, poverty, unemployment and education
- Maternal and infant health data including birth rates, low birth weight, teen births, prenatal care, immunizations and infant death
- Health access information including percentage of persons uninsured
- Leading causes of death including rates by type
- Trend patterns for all of the above
