Early Steps is a statewide system of early intervention services focused on parent education. Early Steps connects families with professionals who teach them how to improve the development of their children through everyday activities. Evaluations to determine eligibility are provided at no cost to families regardless of income. Children birth to three years old who are suspected to have a developmental delay or have been diagnosed with a condition likely to lead to developmental delay should be referred to the local Early Steps program.
